Press Brake Setup and Operator in Training

Full-time

40 Hour week with opportunities for overtime

6:00 am – 2:30 pm M-F

On-the-job training will be provided.

Key responsibilities include:

· Set up and operate CNC Accrupress Brake and other forming equipment to bend and form parts.

· Read and interpret prints, engineering drawings and work orders to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances.

· Plan sequence of operations, select the appropriate tooling and dies for each job and adjust ram stroke for proper heights.

· Inspect initial pieces and sample parts using proper measuring equipment with collaboration and/or with the Plant Manager to ensure that established specifications and quality standards are maintained.

· Perform statistical process control as required by work instructions.

· Inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges or other measuring instruments.

· Detect and report faulty operator working procedures and unusual equipment, tooling and material problems to the Plant Manager.

· Obtain, identify and return tools and dies to designated storage areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be an active team member and a positive role model in all areas, including safety, quality, housekeeping, and producing a low cost, high quality product for our customers.

· At least 2 years of fabrication experience.

· Capable of lifting 25-50 pounds.

· Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of the metal fabrication processes.

· Ability to read and interpret prints, engineering drawings and work orders.

· Proficiency in using measuring equipment including micrometers and calipers.

· This position may, on occasion, involve other related duties not specified in this job description assigned by the Plant Manager.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Employee may be asked to lift and handle parts up to 100 lbs.

· Employee may be asked to manage material sheet sizes up to 5’ x 10’ assisted by another employee.

· Twisting, bending, stretching, standing and reaching.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
