Dana Power Technologies- St. ClairManufacturing Associate Job Title: Manufacturing AssociateReports to: Production Supervisor JOB SUMMARY: Operating various machines and/or hand assembly used in the assembly of Oil Coolers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May operate various machines necessary for assembling components.
- Hand assembly of components.
- Follow work instructions for each job.
- Daily housekeeping assignments.
- Follow Company rules/policies.
- Follow Safety rules and wear safety glasses and hearing protection.
- This does not include every detail of the job. An employee may also be required to perform other tasks in connection with his/her job or when work is not available.
- Every employee is responsible of good housekeeping and 5S in their area.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
- Ability to perform functions of each job in the manufacturing process.
- Must be able to lift up to 38 lbs.
- Repetitive motion, especially repetitive use of hands, wrists, and arms.
- Sitting, reaching, bending, squatting, standing, and walking on cement floor daily.
- Ability to visually inspect parts for quality.
PLEASE REINFORCE:
- Must be able to stand on hard floor surface 8 to 12 hours a day.
- Job is repetitive.
- Ear buds, cell phones or entertainment devices are not allowed on the line.
- The parts have a coating on them, and operators will get dirty.
- Team environment – will have to work well with others.
- Detail oriented and quality focused – Imperative they are able to visually inspect and build good parts even when working on a fast-paced line.
- MUST be able to follow instructions and guidance.
- Good attendance is mandatory.
- Overtime is a part of life at Dana St Clair. Operators may work 4 hours before (EOT Early Over Time) or 4 hours after (LOT Late Over Time) their shift.
- Early overtime notice provided the day before overtime is worked.
- Late overtime notice provided by last break of the shift worked.
- Weekend overtime will be needed from time-to-time (most often Saturday with an occasional Sunday) and is posted on Friday before the weekend.
- Temporary Contractors are forced for overtime before direct hire employees.
- MUST be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Temporary Contractors with good attendance and performance are likely (not guaranteed) to be converted to direct hire.
- If converted, excellent benefits are available the first of the month after conversion and temporary contract assignment counts toward probationary period.
