SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Software Quality Analyst position is responsible for serving as one of the subject matter experts for the Vetspire application. Meets with the development and business teams to ensure proper test coverage of the application. Stays up to date with relevant Quality Assurance trainings along with relevant automation related technical trainings. Skill in tracking quality assurance metrics, including defect densities and defect counts. Works with the team to create Test cases, Test plans, Test Executions, Dashboards, Reports, Documentation and Requirements Traceability Matrix.
This is considered a very vital role and the successful candidate will be expected to become a subject matter expert across multiple platforms.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Communicates with team members and relevant partners verbally and in writing on issues, resolutions, and expectations
- Monitors and manages the team’s SharePoint and/or Confluence
- Coordinates with other team members on creating and updating applications Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Executions, Dashboards, Reports, Documentation and Requirements Traceability Matrix
- Troubleshoots and provides solutions to manual and automated test issues
- Provides recommendations to the team as needed
- Accurately represents the business needs as requested and effectively communicates these needs
- Skilled in performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements
OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT
- Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
- Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications
- Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team
- Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communicating these back to the business stakeholders
- Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce as necessary
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements– through written documentation – to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
- Prepare and present accurate, concise, and reliable reports
KNOWLEDGE & EXPEREINCE
- Demonstrated knowledge of the organization’s core business process and operations
- Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives is a plus
- Understanding of Vetspire PIMS is preferred
- Knowledge of software usability concepts and requirements traceability, project management life cycle, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process
- Ability to work under pressure and successfully manage multiple, overlapping deadlines
- Performs analysis and maintenance in a production environment, maintaining customer critical applications in a highly visible environment
