Manual Machine Operator

Robert & Sons Aluminum LLC. is hiring for the position of Manual Machine Operator. This position is a full time role, working Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:45 pm with a 45 minute lunch. Eligible candidates for the position of Machine Operator must have a valid driver's license, with reliable transportation, and will be subject to background check and drug screen.

Key responsibilities for the manual machinist include (and are not limited to):

1. Operating various Manual Machines such as hole punch, punch press, and manual shear operation.

2. Ability to learn cutting equipment and work in a safe manner.

3. Able to measure product and ensure proper lengths, hole locations, and determine if material is not “in square”.

4. General understanding of warehouse operations.

5. Ability to identify product by size, type, color, or specifications.

6. Verify the quantity and description of products pulled for packaging matches the printed order acknowledgment.

7. Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers efficiently and accurately.

8. Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly.

9. Accurately place stocked inventory in warehouse bin locations.

Qualifications for the manual machinist include:

1. Previous experience operating manual shear equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.

2. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand machine operations and adjustments.

3. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate cuts according to provided instructions.

6. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

7. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.

8. Forklift experience a plus.

9. Some heavy lifting required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 46 per week
