- Performs pre-shift inspection to evaluate condition of work area and equipment
- Reports all equipment and work area deficiencies to shift Supervisor
- Communicates with shift Supervisor to ensure proper product is to be produced for the shift
- Ensures that weight of product readings on computer screen are within acceptable range
- Performs under minimum supervision task of filling and sealing bags as per training provided
- Changes the parameters on scales for weight accuracy when needed
- Communicates with Supervisor any situation that may affect the safety of employees or other issues that can affect production or quality of product
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must adhere to all safety policies
- Personal protective equipment is required including safety glasses, safety footwear and gloves
- High degree of attention required when operating equipment to prevent avoidable downtime or damage
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to speak and read basic English
- Regular attendance is required
- Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Must be able to successfully pass drug and background screening
Physical Demands
- Willing and able to work in a hot, cold, dusty and noisy environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry loads of up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently
