Mandarin Private Teacher -Manhattan Beach

Founded by an expert in early childhood education, Education Management Agency offers progressive independent study programs (homeschool) to kids Preschool through High School age.

We coordinate the independent study program for families seeking an alternative to traditional schooling. Our positions are for an exciting, intellectual, passionate educator, who has a talent for teaching, and wants to be part of mentoring students who will no doubt be visionaries of the future. The ideal candidates would also have excellent communication and organizational skills, and work well with the education team.

This position is to work with one preschool aged student in the Manhattan Beach area. The ideal candidate will be able to work with this student 2-3 times per week, for one hour, preferably from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be fluent in Mandarin and English.
• Teaching Credential (preferred, but not necessary)
• Play based approach to teaching Mandarin
• Experience working with small children
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Has experience teaching Mandarin
• Understanding of various teaching methods

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Teacher is responsible for teaching Mandarin to a preschool aged student who has been in a Mandarin Immersion preschool program.
