About Us
The Foundation for Self Leadership advances emotional and relational healing and wellbeing in our world, which contributes to greater social harmony and peace, through the practice of Self-leadership as identified by the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model of the human psyche.
We envision and strive to support a world in which individuals and society behave and interact using the inner resources of Self Leadership as a new paradigm for healing and living, bringing acceptance, compassion and safety and, by extension, to the communities in which we live, including and especially marginalized communities.
As a not-for-profit public charity governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation for Self Leadership advances the mission as we work to:
· Underwrite independent, scientific research that examines and expands empirical evidence on the efficacy of the IFS model of the human psyche in transcending trauma and building emotional resiliency.
· Incubate proof-of-concept projects that provide access to IFS beyond the traditional psychotherapeutic model as a practice for fostering inner healing and wellbeing, especially for underserved populations.
· Expand the visibility of IFS through outreach and open-access resources.
About PARTS & SELF
PARTS & SELF is an online, open access magazine, published by the Foundation for Self Leadership since October 2022. The magazine is one way in which the Foundation advocates for the IFS model, making the paradigm and practice more accessible to individuals and communities beyond the clinical setting. The magazine highlights the work of the IFS community in generating research studies and innovative applications. It also provides thought-leadership in the larger space of individual and collective healing.
