Hilco Enterprise Valuation Services is fast-growing division of Hilco Valuation Services. Our Disputes Advisory practice provides case assessment, complex financial modeling, valuation analysis, damages formulation, and expert witness testimony in a variety of financial and legal matters. Our practice provides expertise related to matters involving contractual, valuation, solvency, pre and post M&A transactions, capital raising transactions, and economic damages.
The Managing Director role at Hilco is a business development and client delivery leadership position that represents a unique opportunity for professional with a proven track record to make substantial contributions to the firm's growth. Managing Directors will focus on developing new and existing client relationships, lead complex and challenging engagements and ensure all aspects of engagements are delivered with the highest quality standards.
As a Hilco representative, the candidate will never compromise on integrity and must understand the importance of fair dealing, personal responsibility and client loyalty.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Managing staff members to ensure engagement execution that will support thorough and grounded expert opinions and/or provide quality consulting services to attorneys within established timeframes
  • Providing guidance to attorneys on key financial and business issues
  • Obtaining a thorough understanding of the drivers that affect value and creditworthiness of the subject company
  • Developing and/or evaluating damages claims and calculations
  • Creating financial models, cash flow analysis, completing business related valuations, and other analyses as dictated by the needs of the client company or transaction
  • Reviewing internal and external communications, including client proposals and expert reports
  • Marketing services both to internal partners and external clients, developing client networks, and supporting efforts in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies
  • Delivering presentations to potential clients
  • Managing client relationships; identifying and developing opportunities to enhance relationships with existing clients/contacts and new potential business
  • Recruiting, training, developing and evaluating professional and administrative staff
  • Identifying cross-marketing opportunities within and across Hilco practice areas
  • Managing teams of all levels of professional staff to ensure effective professional time utilization
  • Demonstrate internal leadership to promote our culture of respect, transparency, and excellence. Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to our team

REQUIREMENTS:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD, CPA) is preferred
  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in dispute, expert services and advisory services, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial management
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Business development and sales experience
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFE, CFA, CIRA) are a plus.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven mathematical and analytical skills
