Job Description Summary
The Managing Broker will oversee the day to day operations of an assigned RFR office and will be responsible for the office's operational performance by setting the vision, strategy, and goals under the supervision of the Head of Operations. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the company including the vision of company leadership.
Job Description
Essential Functions
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and management that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company for an assigned RFR office location.
  • Responsible for driving agents under their supervision to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, and business goals, and objectives.
  • Setting sales targets for each agent in their office.
  • Maintaining an office culture that reflects the values of Redstone Family Realty.
  • Recruiting agents to help grow the office and overall geographic footprint of RFR operations.
  • Work with the executive team to develop and implement strategies and programs to improve the performance of the office.
  • Develop training materials for new real estate agents for the brokerage and train them to ensure their performance meets our high standards.
  • Ensure the brokerage and agents are adhering to all company policies and procedures and abiding by all state and national Fair Housing and real-estate laws.
  • Work with the leadership team on retention programs to ensure that our top real estate sales agents remain with our brokerage
  • Assist sellers in how to best promote their properties to attract advantageous offers.
  • Advertise properties through a variety of marketing techniques.
  • Evaluate the clients' desires and economic capabilities to discover the appropriate suggestions.
  • Provide information regarding legal guidelines, rates, specifications and property availability.
  • Mediate the dealings between sellers and buyers ensuring good conduct and the honest exchange of information towards a beneficial understanding.
  • Appraise the value of properties by thoroughly researching the market or past purchases.
  • Present properties to potential buyers and address questions or concerns.
  • Draft and complete important legal documents.
  • Generate and manage lists of properties for sale.
  • Collaborate and network with contractors, home inspectors, attorneys and other external stakeholders.
  • Remain knowledgeable about the market and best practices.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has overall supervisory responsibility for the agents of their assigned RFR office.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, smartphones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position regularly requires working hours outside of a 9-5 work schedule to meet company and client needs and frequent weekend work.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
  • Must have a broker's license in good standing in the state where the office is located.
  • At least 3+ years of experience as a licensed, actively practicing agent at a real estate company.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team of successful real estate agents.
  • Strong understanding of the real estate industry and all state and national Fair Housing and real-estate laws to ensure compliance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
