We are looking for a Managing Associate General Counsel who provides expert legal advice, guidance and support to ensure that the legal and reputational risks faced in relation to privacy, cybersecurity and emerging tech in the Americas region are identified and managed. And manages US DLS team’s execution of strategic priorities, oversees delivery of procurement transaction and corporate services legal services in the US.
As our Managing Associate General Counselyou will:
- Work to ensure that current and future legal risks in relation to privacy, cyber, emerging tech and third-party risk issues are mitigated and managed
- Support the growth agenda both in terms of strategy and offering legal advice and direction to stakeholders
- Have trust and confidence of stakeholders, providing considered judgement and opinion on both legal and non-legal matters related to privacy, cyber, emerging tech and third-party risk
- Be part of the leadership of the Global Digital Legal Services team, operating effectively and efficiently at a high level.
- Partner with Procurement, Cyber, Technology and Innovation teams, knowing and understanding the operation of each and proactively providing solutions as well as challenging to ensure that appropriate privacy, cyber, emerging tech and third-party risk controls are in place
- Critically and logically evaluates the costs, risks, and benefits of alternatives before making balanced decisions and/or recommendations
For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $241600 and $300000.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
