Reports to: Director, Brand & Wholesale Marketing

Position Overview:

The Manager of Wholesale Marketing will support all wholesale sales and marketing efforts and serve as the main point of marketing contact for wholesale team members. This position will play a crucial role in supporting efforts to drive sales, expand our wholesale business, and enhance branded presence in 3rd party retail locations. You will collaborate closely with brand managers, wholesale team members, and other cross functional stakeholders to conceptualize and execute wholesale sales and marketing strategies that align with our company’s goals and objectives

Major Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Contribute to, implement and analyze strategic Wholesale Marketing plans to engage and captivate existing and new wholesale partners and drive sales growth for the wholesale business, aligning with the company's overall goals. Work with the sales team to prioritize key accounts to create customized, account-based marketing materials as needed.
  • In partnership with the Director of Brand & Wholesale Marketing, develop sales-driven marketing materials, presentations, and sales support collateral to drive conversions, enhancing effectiveness in competitive markets.
  • Collaborate closely with brand managers to ensure all wholesale materials adhere to brand principles, guidelines, and standards. Filter back in-market product brand feedback for consideration, analysis, and improvements. Ensure all in-store, social and digital asset toolkits are updated regularly for wholesale partners and represent the current brand image.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand regional needs, identify opportunities, and develop marketing initiatives that support sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with communications team for any PR/messaging support.
  • Leverage your sales experience to understand market trends, analyze competitor activities, and identify growth areas in Wholesale Marketing by turning analysis into insights. Develop a cadence for competitive shopping and trend report presentations for the sales team.
  • Track and analyze the performance of Wholesale Marketing assets to optimize results.
  • Work with the wholesale team to assist in organizing promotional events with our partners.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing team to facilitate ongoing brand training and incentive programs to increase sales of our products within our wholesale network.
  • Contribute to wholesale event strategy, including planning and coordinating presence at select industry Wholesale Marketing events, including trade shows, large scale sponsored events, community events and retail pop ups. Track event performance metrics and prepare post-event reports for analysis.

  • Manage and track Wholesale Marketing budget.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor'sdegree in Marketing, Business or other relevant field required, Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing or sales, preferably part of it in the cannabis industry.
  • Proven experience in Wholesale Marketing, sales, and business development.
  • Team player – ability to work well with many different departments and points of view.
  • Can-do, tenacious attitude. Ability to navigate new or unchartered territory with professionalism.
  • Ability to independently develop collateral in tools such as Canva a plus.
  • Ability to be proactive, multi-task, work independently and communicate effectively to all departments within the organization.
  • Working knowledge of the marketing creative process and Wholesale Marketing space.
  • Highly analytical, ability to extract data to make decisions.
  • Critical thinking skills are required as is the ability to work well under pressure, within tight timelines, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong influence and presentation skills.
  • Accurate, timely and detail oriented.

Additional Abilities Required:

  • This job operates in an office setting and is largely sedentary, requiring the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment. The ability to lift or move up to 5 pounds, bend, reach, and perform manual tasks may also be required.
