We are a local Steel pipe distributor and fabrication company, servicing the west coast since 1982. We are seeking a Fabrication Manager to become an integral part of our team here at Independent Pipe!
Responsibilities:
- Daily supervision and accountability of a 6-8 man welding crew
- Manage and improve operational practices and productivity
- Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines
- Inventory control
- Management of equipment and scheduling of repairs/maintenance
- Creating and implementing policies and procedures in accordance with HR and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Able to pass a D-1.1. Qualification in FCAW
- Familiar with FCAW, SMAW, AND SAW
- A minimum of a High School Diploma
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership role
- Previous experience in operations or other related fields
- Managed welding operations involving multiple projects
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and informal plans related to projects
- Strong project management skills
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong leadership qualities
