  • Compensation – We support transparency, equity, and fairness in our compensation programs and provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range, based on data-driven market analysis, for each job posting. While it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role in Washington, DC (Headquarters) is $102,500 - $149,400. Team members may also be eligible for performance-based discretionary awards.
  • Hybrid work option – Staff will be assigned to the Washington, DC (Headquarters) office. Staff can choose to live and work from anywhere within the United States but will be required to commute to their assigned office or location for occasional intentional gatherings or meetings at the frequency required by their supervisor. Travel to an assigned office or location for commuting purposes will not be considered reimbursable business travel, unless otherwise required by state law. Business travel is reimbursable in an amount not exceeding the cost to travel from the assigned office or location, unless otherwise required by state law.
  • Generous paid time off – Up to 6 weeks annually, in addition to 12 federal holidays, 2 floating holidays, and a year-end break from December 25 –31, 2024

Role Summary
The PCAOB has a full-time, regular position for a Manager, Travel at its Washington, DC headquarters office. The Manager, Travel will report to the Associate Director, Business Operations and will be responsible for the ongoing management of the PCAOB’s travel, expense and travel security program. Responsibilities also include management of preferred provider relationships, policy development and compliance, provider and program performance management and the development of periodic and ad hoc financial and compliance reporting. The Manager, Travel will also oversee and lead the work for an administrative staff member.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day travel needs of the PCAOB, following company policies and procedures
  • Provide meaningful travel metrics, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports to quantify travel expenditures and statistics monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports of travel expenditures
  • Benchmark, analyze, monitor and report out on travel expenditures and compliance
  • Identify savings opportunities and service enhancements and initiate process improvements
  • Plan, develop and implement internal trainings for travel policy and procedures, travel safety and security procedures and travel and expense systems
  • Ensure financial and operational controls are maintained
  • Oversee travel management company responsible for domestic and international bookings
  • Manage the configuration, as well as the vendor relationship for the online booking tool
  • Keep current on key issues and events that could impact the organization’s travelers
  • Provide clear, timely, and relevant communications to the PCAOB’s travelers
  • Provide assistance and customer service to PCAOB travelers when problems and issues arise for action
  • Communicate on all travel security crises and alerts affecting PCAOB travelers
  • Manage the PCAOB travel security program and travel security vendors
  • Be available after hours to contact for alert/incident response
  • Manage and administer all aspects of the Corporate American Express Credit Card Program
  • Perform the full range of supervisory duties, including evaluating employee performance; make recommendations for appointment and promotion; hear and resolve complaints; identify development and training needs of employees; other related supervisory tasks; and
  • Recruit, maintain, and develop staff consistent with business needs
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
Education/Technical Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience, with at least 3 years of experience managing a team
  • Proven track record in establishing a successful global travel program while producing cost savings and efficiencies
  • Ability to quickly identify issues and formulate approaches to problem resolution
  • Proficient with Excel, Power Point and other MS Office products
  • Knowledge of travel software systems and data bases
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform detailed-oriented and accurate work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer focus
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Concur, Apollo, and/or Sabre systems
