The Manager, Transport and Storage reports directly to the Director, Transport and Storage, and is responsible for planning, negotiating, and executing pipeline and Storage contracts in support of liquefaction activities at both SPL and CCL. The Manager - Transport and Storage must be willing to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment, communicate information quickly and clearly, and foster commercial relationships with infrastructure providers upstream of Cheniere’s liquefaction facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Identify, originate, negotiate, and execute pipeline and Storage contracts
- Maintain relationships with infrastructure partners across all levels of the organization (commercial, operations, management)
- Attend industry events and conferences to ensure good business relationships
- Participate in rate cases and negotiations on Cheniere’s behalf
- Facilitate coordination between SPL and CCL plant operations and third-party pipeline operations groups The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time; or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge:
In depth understanding of natural gas markets, rules and regulations, and the United States pipeline grid. Expertise in pipeline operations with tariff language interpretations and negotiations experience required. Adept at incorporating new and changing market dynamics with historical knowledge of pipeline and Storage flow changes for strategy development. Additional qualifications include economic thinking skills as well as exposure to natural gas infrastructure FEED. Contract negotiation experience and an extreme attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education, Training and Certifications : Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or Accounting or equivalent business experience.
Experience : Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in energy, Gas Marketing, Gas Scheduling, Gas Trading, or a Pipeline Commercial Role
