Job Summary:
Manager responsible for overseeing the 24-hour Hospital Security Operations Center. Directs the daily operations of the security communications center, staffing, technical services, training, access management, and investigations. Directs strategic planning for security management, conducts gap analysis, risk analysis, law compliance; and evaluates departmental policies and procedures. Assists in the planning, implementation and coordinating of safety and security programs to reduce risk to patients, visitors and staff. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Minimum of 10 years in Law Enforcement/Security Officer with 3 years in a supervisory role. 1 year of Law Enforcement/Security dispatch, technical and communications experience required.15 years of experience in Law Enforcement/Security Officer with 5 years in a supervisory role. 3 years Law Enforcement/Security dispatch, technical and communications experience. Previous experience in a hospital environment.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree in Criminal Justice or Security Administration.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:Completion of advanced safety training is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Must be familiar with access control systems. Must have working knowledge of technical systems, deployment, maintenance and monitoring. Must have good public relations skills. Must be hard working and honest.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:Wisconsin driver's license (DL)
