Petco is a category-defining health and wellness company focused on improving the lives of pets, pet parents and Petco partners. We are 29,000 strong, working together across 1,500+ pet care centers, 250+ Vetco Total Care hospitals, hundreds of preventive care clinics, eight distribution centers and two support centers.
Petco is aggressively focusing on building out our Retail Media network offerings across marketing, data and cross functional partnerships to drive results for our vendors and advertisers. We are looking for a strategic, self-starter who has immense focus on their advertiser relationships, and can continually recommend relevant and impactful solutions. This person will be the key relationship owner of many vendor advertising accounts, working internally with team members across many marketing and merchandising departments to recommend and deliver results. Having experience and proficiency in pushing for ongoing excellence, building out bespoke strategy on behalf of their advertisers, and working day to day to create new offerings are key to this role.
Key Duties:
Fully own the client relationship by building solid rapport, demonstrating a deep understanding of the vendor marketing goals and challenges, demonstrating transparency, and delivering results
Develop strategic growth plans, gain client alignment, and fully execute against the aligned upon approach
Measure efficacy of the strategy through regular reporting against core Retail Media KPIs and ad-hoc audits to identify areas for refinement
Leverage Retail Media activities and other retail readiness recommendations to drive increased traffic and conversion and organic search ranking improvement
Highlight ongoing incremental sales opportunities to clients through participation in retailer programs, additional promotional opportunities, and recommendations to improve operational KPIs
Support in creation of annual budget recommendations and properly allocate across campaigns to align with high level business objectives
Develop an annual marketing calendar aligned with Petco key offerings, incorporating relevant macro and micro seasons, new product launches, and client media calendars
Create strategic Retail Media plans for new product launches, including recommendations for retail readiness across core KPIs
Work closely with cross functional teams within marketing, media, analytics and ecommerce to drive results for vendors
Ability to support in process creation, or other special projections internally at Petco to help drive success of the overall Retail Media team separate from vendor accounts
Role Requirements:
6-8 years experience working in eCommerce account management, sales, and/or digital marketing
Previous account management experience preferably in Retail Media or marketing agency environments
Previous project management, familiarity with financial analysis, negotiation and/or marketing experience
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of how Retail Media, sales, and operations work together
Proven track record of relationship building and account management
Proven success in driving sales results and implementing ideas in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates proactive communication and workstyle, works efficiently and is always looking to streamline processes and workflows
Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills
Strong analytical skills, and the ability to take large data sets and extract actionable recommendations, are a must
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience

$101,900.00 - $152,800.00/ year
