Your Role
The Residential Home Inspector Manager’s main objective is to manage their cross-state functioning team. Ensuring their team upholds all company objectives, standards, and role requirements. While also liaising between their team and other internal and external partners. This role requires a candidate with a keen eye for detail, proven managerial success, and one who can manage a team remotely. This role may also include you holding a portfolio of your own to cover. This field position requires working from home or remotely and traveling up to 40% of the time within your home-based markets and their team’s home-based markets. The management sub-set will be regionalized on a national level. Duties and Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
- Monitor and manage performance of weekly walk and inspection completion rates
- Manage scheduling and prioritization of daily tasks and projects based on company priorities and volume and geographic locations
- Participate in interviews of new candidates
- Conduct quarterly visits for markets greater than 100 miles from your primary location and monthly visits for markets within 100 miles of your location.
- Assist in scheduling auxiliary inspections/property visits as internal team members need. This may include but is not limited to court appearances, eviction presence, rental assistance inspections, and utility activations.
- Complete weekly reviews of customer satisfaction scores as well as visit and inspection completion rates.
- Complete weekly individual touch base, mid-year, and end-of-year reviews for team members
- Ensure individual SOPs (standard operating procedures) and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) goals are being achieved
- Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for Residential Home Inspectors to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Generate detailed reports on inspection activities, including performance metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Analyze data related to scope, quality, and vacancy walks to identify trends and areas for improvement. While helping build and maintain these data logs
- Monitor and manage Residential Home Inspector workload to ensure balanced assignments and timely completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to set performance goals and track progress toward achieving them.
- Oversee the implementation of quality control metrics to maintain high inspection accuracy, thoroughness, and project completeness standards.
- Collaborate with the operations team to address and resolve any operational issues or challenges faced by the Residential Home Inspectors.
- Develop and organize market tour agendas and routes. In collaboration with other managers that cover the specified areas.
- Act as a point of contact for escalations and complex situations, providing guidance and support to operations as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and a strong work ethic.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and technologies to continuously improve inspection processes and methodologies.
- Serve as a liaison between the inspection team and other departments within the company to ensure seamless workflow and information sharing
- Attend, schedule, and administer departmental meetings with additional internal Managers to discuss strategy and tactics.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relative experience in a related field
- Possess a Proven track record of people and process management
- Past experience in the Single Family Rental Industry
- A Passion for customer service
- The ability to have uplifting and tough conversations with their team
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, procedures, and all state and federal regulations
- Ability to process and implement procedural and technological process changes
- Possess the ability to lead by example
- Ability to travel to and visit your assigned territory and team up to 40% of the time
