Summary: TheManager Production and Inventory Control will ensure all BP 3 work centers are scheduled, coordinated and supplied to meet manufacturing plans. Control and report inventories to ensure business plan targets are achieved.
Responsibilities:
- Supervisory responsibility for Drivers/Receivers. Ensure compliance with all OSHA, DOT and internal Health and Safety programs for department. Maintain records and DOT compliance of all inter-plant shipments.
- Maintain AGS system accuracy by timely and accurate delivery and receipt of raw materials and operating supplies. Ensure lots of raw materials have passed QC inspection and conform to shelf-life requirements.
- Conduct daily cycle counts/inventories on Raw Materials and weekly cycle counts/inventories of operating supplies to plan releases of each to support production plans.
- Monitor and report facility consumption rates of operating supplies and raw materials for purposes of targeting improvement efforts. Work as part of BP 3 Team on Continuous Improvement efforts as required.
- Work with Central Planning Group to monitor consignment programs and improve accuracy of MRP process for raw materials.
- Provide assistance to and back-up for BP 2 Production and Inventory Control Manager, as necessary.
- Participate on BP 3 staff and do other duties as assigned.
- Perform adjustments to AGS perpetual inventory. Ensure transaction accuracy and maintain .net user interfaces daily or weekly as required.
- Lead BP 3 Inventory Teams in Planning and Execution of Planned Physical Inventories. Coordinate with Plant and Corporate Accounting as required to reconcile physical inventory with AGS on hand balances.
- Generate weekly and monthly work center production schedules throughout the Ball Plant (Mixing through Finishing). Make adjustments to work center schedules on a daily and weekly basis as needed to manage inventory levels such that the Manufacturing group executes to plan.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's level degree is required.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Production Control, understanding Golf Ball Manufacturing process, Production run rates by operations and information systems in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Must possess quantitative, analytical and organizational skills.
- Some travel may be required to support current facility, other locations, attend trade shows, seminars, training and educational events.
- Must be able to be present in the manufacturing environment on a regular basis for extended periods of time and is, therefore, subject to normal exposures to dust, heat, chemicals and noise present in a manufacturing environment.
