Reporting to the AVP of Design, the Production Design Manager leads a team that is responsible for

and contributes to all phases of the production of visual communication materials that educate and

inform internal and external audiences about HCA Healthcare's mission, products, programs and

services. This role coordinates design and production tasks, evaluates design feasibility, ensures asset

optimization, evaluates issues, ensures brand compliance and manages the day-to-day performance of

their staff. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter and must be committed to delivering

top quality solutions within agreed upon timelines. The candidate must be comfortable working with

executives and other high level clients.

What you will do in this role:

General Responsibilities:

• Supervises creative services Production Design team providing leadership on issues relevant to design, production, branding and marketing. Provides direction, review, feedback, mentorship and training to the Production Design team. Supervises team projects, facilitates workflow and

performs managerial administrative/operational tasks. Suggests new ways of improving the quality of operations, processes and other project opportunities.

• Ensures quality control for all of the team’s deliverables and confirms they are completed within time and budget constraints. Ensures that the delivered products or services adhere to the policies and standards of the organization in an effort to support coherence and unity.
• Serves as a senior member of the creative services team, collaborating with other colleagues on strategy and asset development. Provides creative production consulting to other departments. Leverages creative and marketing knowledge to supplement new creative campaigns with production services. Occasionally, participates in design sessions with stakeholders and other design team members when engaging in new projects. Must possess ability to present to key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Establishes standards for core production processes. Manages documentation for production guidelines and standards across the organization.
• Oversees the production of materials that achieve departmental and organizational goals. Maintains HCA Healthcare brand standards and provides general oversight of brand assets.
• Adept at using, managing and creating templates. Strong attention to detail, reporting and planning. Comfortable with managing workload through project management tool (Workfront).
• Performs business development responsibilities, bringing new business to the department and selling current portfolio of work to prospective internal customers. Maintains relationships and communication with clients; tracks jobs, requirements, progress, timelines and cost opportunities. Prepares print and design specifications, project work agreements and proposals for clients, as needed. Serves as point of contact with internal and external print vendors and freelance resources.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1+ year of management experience
• 7+ years of relevant work experience
