ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Manager, People & Culture at Roland Foods, you will play a vital role in shaping and nurturing our organizational culture while overseeing all aspects of human resources management. You will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent, fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment that aligns with our company values and business objectives. As a response to the pandemic, Roland Foods office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to telework on Monday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the NY and NJ offices are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Development and Engagement

  • Lead the onboarding process to ensure new employees receive a comprehensive orientation and integration into the company culture
  • Design and implement employee development programs, including training initiatives, career development plans, and performance management systems
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, providing resources and support for skill enhancement and career advancement
  • Develop and oversee employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, recognition programs, and team-building activities, to promote a positive and inclusive work environment

HR Policy and Compliance

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of HR activities, such as employee files, benefits administration, and payroll processing

Culture and Diversity Initiatives

  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the organization, driving initiatives to cultivate a culture of belonging and respect for all employees
  • Partner with leadership to assess and address diversity gaps and implement strategies to enhance representation and inclusivity at all levels of the organization
  • Act as a cultural ambassador, promoting company values and fostering a sense of community and collaboration among employees

Employee Relations and Wellness

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for employees, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on workplace issues
  • Develop and implement wellness programs and initiatives to support employee well-being and work-life balance
  • Monitor employee morale and satisfaction levels, conducting regular feedback sessions and implementing action plans to address areas of improvement

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in human resources management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, employee development, and performance management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for driving organizational change and fostering a positive work culture

Preferred

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred

SALARY RANGE

Roland Foods hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways Roland Foods does that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be $90,000 - $105,000.

Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion the salary offered.
