What You'll DoLead a team of Automation Analysts to optimize supply chain and warehouse/distribution center performance utilizing innovative solutions for mechanization and automation.
Manage mechanical systems for new, or modify existing, automated machinery to enable automation of distribution processes for inbound and outbound operations.
Function as Subject Matter Expert and coordinate with Operations, Programs, Project Management, Associated Engineering, IT Architects and Industrial Engineering (IE) teams to ensure successful operation of all current WMSs and future designs.
Oversee workstream for warehouses, current and future designs, and operate with our core processes and systems to maintain full process functionality. Recruit, hire, train, lead, appraise and coach associates and direct reports as assigned.
What Experience You NeedBS degree in Engineering or Computer Science, Mechatronics/ Automation preferred.
7+ years' experience in Engineering and/or Operations Management in an automated environment.
Strong computer skills including MS Office Professional applications, data mining; SQL/database query/extraction, and WMS/WFM systems.
Excellent time management, communications, decision-making, organization, human relations, presentation, negotiation, and mediation skills. Ability to effectively direct and motivate the team and others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization.
Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to remain seated for extended durations and engage in several hours of regular transitions between chairs. It also involves activities such as reaching and bending.
Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work.
Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks.
May require visiting facility operations in temperatures at or below freezing.
May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
What Could Set You Apart10+ years of experience managing automated systems including WMS operation, conversions, launches, and optimization.
Technically advanced in managing warehouse systems, implementations, and controls including JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, or other WMS/WES/WCS systems.
Experience in cold-storage, food or other highly regulated supply chain industry a plus.
