Sets up for private/public functions, greets customers and maintains good customer relations with guests, develops and implements training and development of employees, assists management in other functions as assigned, keeps audio visual equipment stored properly and in good working condition, reviews reservations and seating arrangements with the use of diagrams, coordinates decorations of buffets, with food items in coordination with the Kitchen Manager, reviews bills with guests, prepares all food and beverage charges. Is able to assist in all Food and Beverage capacities during functions to help expedite great service.
Coordinates and directs all operational functions at the Bavarian Inn Lodge during scheduled periods to insure proper level of service and quality are delivered products; directly supervises any employees and departments in the absence of department managers; secures all areas of the Lodge; handles all emergency situations or guest complaints. Maintains the continual contact with the various functions throughout the Lodge to assure that customer requirements and satisfactions are met. Maintains a continual knowledge of cost control. Insures the safety of all employees and guests. Participates in the planning for the Lodge; identifies and implements the short-term and long-range courses of action in order to achieve the Lodge objectives; evaluates the present methods and standards and suggests improvements to maximize business and personal goals. Can efficiently control activities and direct employees of a 360-unit hotel in a professional and proactive manner. Provides training to employees on safety, security and emergency procedures so they may react wisely and assist management quickly with events that may occur. 2 years experience in customer service in the hospitality industry preferred.Must be 18 years of age. Excellent communication skills, ability to direct employees, ability to stand for extended periods of time, ability to lift tables and chairs, good math skills, good organizational skills, ability to handle problems with guests and employees as needed. Has the ability to make presentations to groups. Proficient in computer programs. Professional appearance. Continues to further education by seminars, tapes and classes.
