Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Pharmacy Manager of Operations you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the drug distribution process to include, but not limited to: supervision and training of technicians, employee feedback involvement, and oversight of technical work in all processes and areas of the department. The manager will perform duties as necessary to ensure the timely processing, preparation, and dispensing of patient medication orders in accordance with all current regulatory and practice standards. The Pharmacy manager also performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director and Director of Pharmacy.

• Works with the management team and pharmacy buyer to ensure adequate stock levels of drugs are maintained, and ensuring all drug distribution records are properly stored.
• The manager will perform duties as necessary to ensure the timely processing, preparation, and dispensing of patient medication orders in accordance with all current regulatory and practice standards.
• Responsibilities also include delegation of assignments to maintain appropriate technician staffing levels, ensuring that all core services of the department are provided in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.
• Provide medication information to healthcare staff, pharmacokinetic dosing, assistance with technical duties, and dispensing services.
• Actively communicates policy and procedure changes to appropriate staff and creates education for pharmacy and nursing staff as necessary

Requirements

• Pharmacist
• Bachelors Degree
