Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing multiple hospital cost centers within Medical Surgical Department. Required to frequently apply business principles within a clinical department. Must be capable of independent problem solving, judgment and decision making in the areas of budget, personnel, patient services and administrative or professional programs. Leads initiatives in strategic planning, operational and financial analysis, utilization management, and productivity enhancement. Has twenty-four (24) hour accountability for assigned areas.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

B.S. degree in Nursing or related healthcare field and a minimum of three (3) years nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership or managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Good written and oral communication skills.

PREFERRED

 Master's degree in Nursing.

Two (2) years clinical experience in specialty area.

Prefer at least (5) years experience.
