Manager Of Information Technology Solutions

Role

The Manager of Information Technology Solutions will provide scheduling guidance for the development team as well as be a liaison to the client (USAID) providing necessary status as required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Decision Support System (DSS) databases, including additional systems integrated into the DSS.
• Assume technical direction for the design, development, programming, testing, documentation, training and implementation of DSS components.
• Supervise the maintenance of implemented databases, including the correction of operational failures and approved enhancements, and appropriate testing of system changes.
• Responsible for the continual research and on–going maintenance of software applications and improvements to developed systems.
• Plan and administer the overall policies and standards of the Development Team.
• Investigate, analyze, and help develop proposed solutions to client initiatives.
• Establish priorities for feasibility studies, systems design, software development, and implementation of software applications.
• Perform project planning to schedule and coordinate the use of development resources.
• Assist developers in creating detailed work plans and ensure that task deadlines and quality assurance goals are met.
• Ensure complex application features and technical design issues are successfully resolved.
• The candidate for this position should hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Social Science, Information Science, Information Systems Management or a related field.

Key Qualifications

• At least seven year’s experience working with information systems, particularly involving statistical and/or financial databases.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• A working knowledge of relational databases.
• Strong task management and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Experience coordinating and managing the day-to-day activities of project development teams.
