L3Harris-Aeromet is established within the DoD Community as the developer and operator of special mission ISR systems. We provide special mission system design, modification, and operations with emphasis on the development and integration of state-of-the-art EO/IR sensor systems.

Job Description:

The Sr. Manager, Flight Operations will be responsible leading and developing the pilot team for Modernization and Modifications Group in Tulsa (MMG Tulsa). This role may also include acting as Chief Pilot for the fleet of Gulfstream G-IIB and G-550 aircraft.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Typical managarial duties that include:
  • Review and approve timesheets
  • Manage Goals, Performance, and compensation
  • Support yearly financial requirements, cost accounting, and reporting for the Flight Department
  • Attend weekly program meetings

The Chief Pilot’s duties may include, but is not limited to:

• Establishing the policies and procedures necessary to meet the Aircraft operations needs of the company in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensuring Compliance by all aviation department personnel with those policies and procedures.
• Establishing training programs and monitoring proficiency to achieve the highest level of competence.
• Insuring that all pilots maintain proficiency in required operations.
• Coordinating with other company departments to operate as efficiently as possible.
• Establishing procedures for Aircraft and pilot scheduling and maintaining a liaison with those who are in charge of the mission to advise when imminent Pilot or Aircraft limitations may cause a schedule interruption.
• Coordinating with company personnel and administrative offices to determine minimum qualifications for department personnel, hiring procedures, salary structure, performance appraisals, and dismissal procedures.
• Maintaining liaison with airport management and Air Traffic Control (ATC).
• Designating an Aviation Safety Official (ASO), in writing, responsible for discharging the Aviation Safety Program required by DCMA 8210.1.

Essential Functions:

• Able to work any assigned shift or schedule, including mission support outside normal duty hours and travel worldwide as required to support mission requirements. Subject to on call status with a two-hour recall.
• Perform as a Co-Captain on unique GIIB and G550 special mission sensor aircraft operated by MMG Tulsa.
• Safely conduct training and operate the aircraft in accordance with all applicable FAA regulations and DCMA 8210 requirements.
• Maintain professional standards of conduct at all times.

Qualifications:

• Airline Transport Pilot Rating with G550 and G1159 type ratings
• Valid FAA First Class Medical
• Bachelors Degree
• 12 years of relevant experience, Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license with Multi-engine Rating
• Shall have a clean aviation accident and FAA violation record.
  • Shall never had any designation or ratings suspended or revoked.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense TOPSECRET security clearance.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Proficient using MS-Office (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and Outlook)
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Minimum of 2000 hours Jet PIC experience
