Job Description

As the Manager ofFestival Vendor Relations and Partnerships for the Festival of Nations and associated events, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of the Festival. In this role, you will have the chance to work with a variety of vendors, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering strong partnerships. You get to work with a diverse range of vendors, but you'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with our talented events team to create unforgettable experiences for our festival attendees.


General Responsibilities:

  • Vendor selection, management, relations, and onboarding for Festival of Nations.
  • Lead and coordinate a Vendor Relations team consisting of volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective vendor management.
  • Vendor data and financial management to track sales trends, and process and manage invoices.
  • Develop, update and maintain a comprehensive vendor policy manual outlining Festival standards, rules, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with vendors, the marketing team, and internal stakeholders to schedule story features, promotions, giveaways, and other marketing initiatives that highlight the Festival's cultural diversity.
  • Establish and maintain processes and technology improvements for vendor and partner management practices.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, fostering an environment that celebrates and respects the cultural traditions of all participating vendors.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with all internal teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and shared goals for a successful Festival.
  • Contribute to the overall success and growth of the Festival of Nations by supporting other organizational initiatives and tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately identify potential and current donor(s), partner(s), and client(s) expressed and unexpressed needs to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Ability to work autonomously, collaborate with teams, and take direction as needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong creative, innovative, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop processes, define problems, collect data, establish facts, track metrics, and draw valid conclusions and strategies pertaining to them.
  • Demonstrated ability to hold information confidential with excellent judgment.
  • Strong knowledge of and working experience in digital event/program platforms and web conferencing interfaces.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, ASANA, Square, Jotform Google G-Suite, and Zoom (full features).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a job-related area and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Five-plus years of proven success developing and executing Festival Vendor initiatives that drive both physical and virtual traffic and engagement.
