Job duties include:
- Coordinate internal evaluation efforts for the UA Program.
- Work with partners to design surveys and use other research/evaluation methods to measure outcomes and impacts of professional learning, family science days, administrator breakfasts, Expo, and other program-wide events.
- Analyze data and prepare reports for dissemination, under the supervision of senior members of Research and Evaluation.
- With program staff and teachers, coordinate Data Collection, organize site visits and communicate findings on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate evaluation in Museum programs, including for school-Museum partnerships, Children and Family Learning and Youth Initiatives.
- Work with programs to coordinate Data Collection, analyze and report data and communicate findings to program staff and leadership.
- Work on Museum exhibition Evaluation and visitor studies.
- Manage external evaluators’ access to the Museum and populations of focus.
- Further Museum-wide efforts to understand learning and attitudes among visitors by conducting surveys, observations and other novel Data Collection methods.
- Prepare data visualizations and visually engaging reports.
The expected salary range for the Manager of Evaluation and Data Collection is $60,000/annual – $66,000/annual. The AMNH offers an extensive benefits package designed to meet the needs of our dedicated and diverse community.
Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The salary and placement offered is based on a number of individualized factors, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization and depth and scope of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in natural, physical, or earth science; data science; social sciences; mathematics; statistics; education; museum studies or related field.
- 2 years experience with Evaluation and/or social science research.
