Provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for planning, directing and managing the patient care delivered to a designated population. Oversees the 24-hour operation of the patient care department with accountability for leadership, budget preparation and overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, organizing and controlling in collaboration with department director. Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Or obtained within 4 years of hire date.
- Coursework/Training: Environmental Orientation within 30 days of hire.
- Coursework/Training: General RN competency within 30 days of hire.
- Coursework/Training: Unit Specific competency within 90 days of hire.
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 3 years Experience in an acute hospital environment.
- 2 years Experience in a related specialty unit.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- 2 years Management experience.
