Northrop Grumman Space Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Manager Mission Assurance: Direct and coordinate Mission Assurance activities including design assurance engineering, EEE parts, reliability engineering, and supply chain quality, manufacturing quality and configuration and data management, in support of one or more programs. Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality policies, and procedures to ensure all space related products and services are delivered to the customer on schedule, at minimum cost, and fully compliant to all contractual requirements. Responsible for the review of suppliers and subsequent interfacing with suppliers to resolve nonconformance. Review bids and proposals and provide advice and support to Program Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing. Responsible for overseeing integration and test activities for Launch Vehicles. Roles and Responsibilities: This matrix position reports to the Program Manager as well as the Director of Mission Assurance. This position will be responsible for the following: Establish, implement, and administer an effective Mission Assurance program in compliance with applicable customer contracts and other guidelines set forth by Launch Vehicle requirements. This effort includes participation in system level design development, manufacturing, and testing activities; discrepancy review and approval; failure investigations; cause and corrective action determinations; contract reviews; procurement review and approval; internal and external reporting; member of the Corrective Action Board, Configuration Control Board; support the program at Flight Review Boards; Cost Account Management; direct interaction with Government and customer representatives is required. The position requires additional support related to program proposal efforts, tracking and reporting metrics, mission specific risk issues and develop and present internal and external Mission Assurance briefings. - This position requires experience and command of the Earned Value Management System and the management of multiple cost accounts. - Team areas of responsibility include vehicle quality configurations management, program environmental health and safety requirements, program non-conformance reporting, program metrics, corrective action management and hardware acceptance and pedigree reviews. Other duties as assigned. - Planning work tasks, identifying and securing personnel and equipment resources, personnel management, cost account management, communication status, issues and resolutions plans to program and functional management and providing technical leadership to the team. Candidate must possess demonstrated management and leadership skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must have the ability and desire to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with staff, customer and government personnel, program management, engineering, and subcontractors. Excellent written and oral communications skills a must.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering degree required plus 9 years of directly related experience; 7years with Masters degree U.S. Citizenship is required Ability to obtain a secret security clearance is required. Salary Range: $116,200.00 - $174,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
