Overview and Responsibilities:
The Master Data Governance Group (MDG) is responsible for maintaining the SAP Master Data (static information applied to transactions and processing, used to facilitate reporting and analysis by grouping common pieces of information together) used at Paramount. This can be a remote position. The MDG Team works closely with all levels of the global organization to educate the business on Master Data related issues, opportunities, and their impact on complex integrated business processes. The MDG team tracks and improves the Master Data quality across the company and ensures the trustworthiness of enterprise Master Data for the defined business need. This group targets, evaluates and implements expansion to additional participating systems. The team also works extensively with management, brand groups, corporate business unit representatives and technology partners to set a strategic Master Data direction that will enable corporate strategy and operational success.
The Manager of the Master Data Governance Team will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the Team's work in the development and maintenance of global Master Data Governance processes. Responsibilities include providing leadership and support to the team, collaborating with other functional teams and partners and ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations
Key responsibilities may include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Provide strong leadership to the members of the team, setting clear standards and goals.
  • Offer advanced guidance and support in the development and maintenance of global Master Data Governance processes.
  • Foster a collaborative and hard-working team environment, promoting sharing of knowledge and continuous improvement.
  • Drive activities related to S/4 HANA ERP rollouts, ensuring successful implementation and improvements to the MDG Tool.
  • Oversee testing, mapping of data elements, and error handling for all divisions, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Support the implementation of the Global Title Master data management process, ensuring accurate and efficient management of title-related Master Data.
  • Manage the replication of Master Data between legacy ERP systems and S/4 HANA, ensuring data consistency and integrity across platforms.
  • Analyze and evaluate data quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve data integrity and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, applying standard practices, enhancements, and process optimizations to ensure high-quality Master Data.
  • Understand the relations between attributes in SAP Master Data and the impact of changes to attributes.
  • Oversee the maintenance and audit of SAP FI Master Data, including GL accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure completion of Master Data change requests and maintain organized backups of all copies.
  • Provide necessary reports upon request and perform periodic clean-up activities.
  • Allocate, monitor, and address complex inquiries that come through the incident management system, ensuring accuracy, control/policy compliance, and timely completion.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors on testing key internal controls related to Master Data Governance.
  • Represent MDG on project and month-end close related meetings when requested.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the areas of responsibility, ensuring consistency and alignment to standard practices.
  • Deliver training and mentorship to the members in Master Data Governance and newcomers to facilitate their professional growth and development.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a data management/analytical role

Additional Qualifications:
  • Exemplary experience in Master Data Governance, data management, and ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA experience is a plus).
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data quality and process improvement.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Master Data management, including FI module (GL accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, etc.).
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to handle various projects and priorities concurrently.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with other functional teams and senior leaders.
  • Meticulous mentality with a commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with incident management systems and auditing processes is a plus.
  • Diligent with an attention to accuracy and data integrity

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $110,400.00 - 125,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
