We are seeking a Manager, Market Efficiency to lead a team focused on real-time order management and response. You will also work with cross-functional partners to create new tooling and processes. As a member of the Market Optimization & Efficiency team within Shipt, you will play a key role in scaling marketplace levers and centralized processes to maximize value and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Directly and indirectly lead a team of up to 16 Operations Specialists, Senior Specialists, and Associate Manager(s). This is a workforce with both exempt and non-exempt employees.
Oversee daily team performance, focus on professional growth, and manage performance evaluations.
Analyze demand and weather forecasts, collaborating with Operations to fine-tune supply settings for optimal reliability and financial outcomes.
Work with Operations, Product, and Data Science teams to introduce new tools enhancing our service for Members, Shoppers, and Retailers.
Requirements
Background: 5+ years experience in operations, analytical, and/or managerial roles.
Leadership: 2+ years experience managing non-exempt employees.
Technical skills: data-driven with advanced proficiency in Excel/GSheets, Tableau, and SQL (or willingness to learn).
Project management: experience leading complex projects with quantifiable results.
Flexibility: as needed, must be available to work nights/weekends.
Work Arrangement:
Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis.
