DESCRIPTION
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Manager Intelligent Automation to work in our Information Technology department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls, Idaho facility with every other Friday off. Remote or Hybrid work opportunities may be available for this position.
You will report to the Director of Intelligent Automation & Advanced Analytics. You will pave the way to cultivate and promote an innovative Intelligent Automation program at INL. You will use process-driven, analytical, technical, and financial management skills to create automation (routines/programs/bots) solutions.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead the team across all developed automations (design, configure, test, deploy and integration of new, modified and enhanced automations).
Lead different types of meetings or workshops to define and design automation solutions.
Lead the development process, including constructing and maintaining efficient, reusable and reliable code with robotic process automation and other Intelligent Automation software and tools.
Participate in the problem identification/error resolution process, including tracking, repairing and reporting defects.
Coordinate with IT Quality Control team for testing activities, including integration testing, end-to-end (business process) testing and user acceptance testing.
Ensure that staff members create, edit, revise and finalize life cycle deliverables such as requirements specifications, solution design documents, and operating instructions (i.e., SOP).
Ensure that staff members create and maintain process, technical, project or other documentation, as may be required, to support development, project management and training.
Coordinate approvals by organization and technical staff to certify successful results of milestone deliverable(s) or phase completion, including program development and deployment
Ensure ongoing professional development mentoring and coaching of staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors' Degree and 7 years experience, or Advanced Degree and 5 years experience or 15 years relevant IT experience in lieu of education.
5 - 7+ years’ overall experience with Information Technology / Information Systems.
5+ years’ experience in Intelligent Automation, business process automation, business analysis, and software development.
3+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
Experience with Robotic Process Automation and/or RPA tools, Machine Learning and additional AI methods, and business process definition / redesign, ‘As-is’ - ‘To-be’ modeling, workflows, diagraming, BPM (Business Process Management) tools and automation.
Experience implementing strategy across an organization.
Exposure to performance measurement, continuous improvement (HPI, Lean, Six-Sigma)
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with software development including experience with C/C++, Python, Ruby, Java, Document Object Model, and SQL programming and debugging
Experience with application integration and APIs including XML, REST, and SOAP

Salary Grade: MR0300 - 230 ($124,368 - $211,596)
