General Description:
The Manager, Instructional Technology & Design will be responsible for design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of the Commercial domain of the Learning Experience Platform (LXP) maintained by CLD. Other responsibilities include instructional design and technology support for CLD and our commercial organization. Strategic deliverables will include learning design for training initiatives, including additional product indications, product launches, and commercial meetings. Tactical deliverables may include creating and updating e-learnings, training decks, videos, infographics, subject to project scope. This individual will also be involved with other day-to-day operations of the CLD team, including learning effectiveness measurement, data visualization, and reporting.
Essential Functions of the job:
  • Manages the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) by collaborating with a team of eLearning and development/production professionals including maintaining the LMS content quality, version control and archival information.
  • Provide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance and escalation management. Monitors reoccurring issues, system/data or process gaps and proactively identify potential sources of increased efficiency and enhancements.
  • Develops, builds, and maintains all elements related to LMS functionality, including but not limited to content integrations and creation, curriculum programs, LMS structure, and reporting.
  • Develops standardized LMS operational processes and procedures, guidelines and documentation and ensures LMS governance model is being followed.
  • Ensures that training content is running properly within the various learning platforms - without interruption, quality degradation, and without experiencing any avoidable technical issues that could diminish the overall user experience.
  • Collaborate with the LMS development team to decide which areas of training to develop and how they should be delivered. Work with team to modify instructional materials and identify opportunities to improve the overall effectiveness of training.
  • Develop and project manage highly complex training projects relating to LMS improvement, course delivery, and content creation.
  • Provide LMS training and support to internal and external colleagues and users.
  • Collaborates with CLD colleagues, subject matter experts and vendors to develop and disseminate learning.
Education Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree a plus.
Qualifications Required:
  • BS/MS with 3 plus years’ experience as an LMS administrator or similar position.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization, as well as vendors.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex concepts and simplify for learners and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and application of learning technologies, authoring tools, and advanced learning applications. For example, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline/Rise, Powtoon, Synthesia, Vyond, Prezi, Adobe Captivate.
  • Understanding and application of adult learning principles, learning design, learning measurement, and implementation of learning programs.
  • Effective time and project management.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; positive, proactive, team-focused approach is essential.

  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat in addition to the required learning technologies
Travel:
  • Remote role with travel dependent on business needs

Salary Range: $119,800.00 - $159,800.00 annually

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
