Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is seeking a collaborative, analytical, and detail-oriented Manager, HR Shared Servicesto join our People Operations team. The People Operations team, or POPS for short, is a key contributor to Applied’s talent management strategy as the organization builds, aligns, and scales a proactive and strategic HR function to meet the ongoing needs of the business. Our People team is comprised of People Business Partners, Operations, and Centers of Excellence designed to support a global, industry- leading technology insurance company.

 

This is an exciting time to join our People Team as we pursue a multi-year strategic roadmap of high-impact, employee-centric initiatives. As the Manager, People Operations, you will lead our POPS Shared Services team and plan, design, and implement innovative capabilities that deliver high-quality, scalable HR services across the organization.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Plan, design, and implement the POPS Shared Services function from initial setup, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement
  • Manage the day-to-day activities and sta within the POPS Shared Services function to ensure quality and consistency of service delivery
  • Lead the design, delivery, and adoption of Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self- Service (MSS) capabilities
  • Research and recommend systems, tools, processes, and procedures that reduce manual eort and enable self-service
  • Partner across POPS and the broader People Team to ensure seamless and ecient service delivery; serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholder queries and concerns
  • Monitor and analyze POPS service metrics to assess operational eciency, guide team performance, and inform future POPS strategies

What You’ll Need to Succeed

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can work remotely or in any of our Applied Systems offices

 

Your experience should include some or all of the following:

  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in an HR role, with at least 2 years with direct management responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up and optimizing a people-centric, outcome- focused HR Shared Services function
  • Deep understanding of HR processes, systems, and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience applying established and emerging technologies that drive eciency and self-service within HR, such as Robotic Process Automaton (RPA), chatbots, generative AI, etc.
  • Excellent people leadership and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Procient computer skills, including HR Information Systems (UKG preferred but not required) and Microsoft Oce Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job responsibilities
