The Manager, Home Medical Equipment is responsible for the day-to-day operations of both ChelseaCare HME locations, one at Chelsea Hospital and the other at Trinity Health Ann Arbor. We specialize in sleep apnea equipment, including CPAP, BiPAP, respiratory assist devices and PAP resupply equipment. The selected individual coordinates the daily staffing levels, redirecting staffing and fills in for each area to meet the needs of customers.
They oversee the management of patient intake, HME fittings, new equipment set-ups, home patients, billing, and inventory management. Provide daily management and technical direction for a department(s) or functional area(s). Has accountability for department's customer/patient satisfaction, efficiency of core processes, associate relations and resources.
The HME manager assures legal, regulatory, and compliance issues are met and documented for all departments being managed. HME manager assists in the hiring and orientation of new staff, in addition to completing the annual performance evaluation process.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • DME / HME Managers, Respiratory or Polysom Techs, or those with respiratory assistive devices are encouraged to apply.
  • Expertise in regulatory and billing procedures, exceptional team building skills, multi-tasking, and excellent verbal and written communication and technical skills are required.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
