The Manager, Genesis Distribution Operations is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the Genesis Vehicle Ordering and Dealer Allocation systems. This position is responsible for the extremely critical business processes that directly affect sales, dealer confidence in our brand, allocation of vehicles to our dealers, and the systems that support this process including SAP, OTD, and the allocation and ordering system.
Major Responsibilities~ Responsible exercising independent judgement in updating the system with pricing changes throughout the year which impacts mission critical business processes that directly affects corporate cash flow, dealer relations, and legal compliance as pertains to pricing documentation and government compliance. Accuracy, completeness, and understanding the complexity of linked processes is essential.
~ Oversee the accuracy of the distribution system as it pertains to functions such as new model set up, pricing, and data communication with oversea/domestic production orders.
~ Monitor the completion of key requirements to ensure vehicle release/launch dates are met.
~ Facilitates departmental process improvement through process evaluation, recommendation to management and process implementation in coordination with distribution systems team.
~ Use discretion to coordinate and facilitate regular meetings with the overseas/domestic production plants to discuss key topics impacting production.
~ Legal & Compliance: The Genesis Distribution Operations Manager has a direct impact on dealer Monroney & Invoice accuracy and generation. Ancillary labels and legal disclosures are also systematically linked to Distribution Operations
~ Order & Tracking: The communication, via electronic means, to various production control entities begins the ordering process.
Major Responsibilities (continued)~ Monitor order status, completion, and timeliness communications to various production control entities. Tracking of vehicle orders, or #ONS#, enables GMA management to optimize ground stock availability.
~ Work closely with regional distribution managers to ensure a healthy pipeline of units to each region.
~ Provide executives with summary and actionable reports on a routine and ad hoc basis.
Authority~ Provide management with quality information and recommendations to facilitate decision making.
~ Use advanced knowledge to communicates technical decisions on an ongoing basis in day-to-day dealings with HMC, HMMA, HMGMA, HAEA, GLOVIS, and MOBIS counterparts.
~ Backup and Support Senior Manager, Distribution, as required.
Education~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Bachelor's degree preferred
~ Master's degree a plusRelated Experience
~ Six or more years of experience of which at least three years of directly related experience in Distribution Operations, Planning, or Logistics.
~ Previous allocations and systems development and allocation systems process improvement experience.
~ Experience working with stakeholders to translate process needs into practical system functionality.
Skills/Knowledge. ~ High level Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SAP, DTS, APSII and project management skills.
~ Detail oriented, excellent organizational and communication skills.
~ Advanced mathematical skills.
~ Able to handle multiple responsibilities.
~ Thorough understanding of dealer allocation process and policy.
~ SAP system knowledge and experience is a plus.
