Supervises FOOD SERVICES personnel and manages day-to-day activity and coordination of the National School Food Service Programs in an assigned location. Provides training and guidance to staff and meets production and quality standards. Ensures compliance with all food, safety, and sanitation regulations.

What You'll Do:
- Coordinates daily food service operations at assigned school and supervises assigned staff, ensuring completion of all work routines to complete tasks as assigned.
- Markets and merchandises various foods and services within a school based environment.
- Plans, coordinates, and conducts training of food service staff.
- Evaluates equipment needs, writes specifications, and arranges for delivery, installation and start up; ensures regulatory compliance with USDA school meals programs and various other contract feeding programs; and enforces all federal, state, and local health department, food service, sanitation and safety laws and regulations.
- Develops and oversees work schedules, training schedules, and production standards for assigned staff.
- Ensures proper use and care of food service equipment and supplies; recommends equipment needs and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) donated foods.
- Prepares required reports of FOOD SERVICES operations and inventory and performs daily inventory/ordering and accounting duties.
- Coordinates menu preparation with nutritional analysis determination of menus and assists with recipes, testing of food, supplies, and other products.
- Assists in determining the type and quantity of food and supplies to be purchased based on student needs and resources available, observes daily food service operations for cost effectiveness, and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Promotes a safe work environment at all times.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Three years of successful experience in school food service management and supervision at a central office level.
- One year of supervisory experience in a large commercial kitchen or food service environment.
- Previous Food Services merchandising and marketing experience preferred.
- Certification or credentialing from the American School of Food Service Association; Certified by the Vocational Education Division of the State Department of Education.
- Must have a valid Colorado driver's license or be able to obtain a Colorado Driver's License with the state's required time frame for new residents and meet the District's insurability requirements.
