Job Summary:
The eCommerce Manager for Target is responsible for supporting the Sales Directors and National Account Managers in developing and executing the Retail.com growth agenda. Successful candidates will work in collaboration with Omni Sales Teams, Planning and Marketing functions to develop sustainable growth strategies. This role will provide omnichannel thought partnership with expertise in eCommerce, responsible for developing and achieving the Customer strategies through the application of Newell Brands' Omni capabilities.
Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Omni Sales Leaders within Target to develop an omni-strategy and support the eCommerce pillars and activities.
  • Partner with Omni sales and marketing leaders on customer-centric 360° shopper marketing plans leveraging both organic and paid media tactics.
  • Develop and achieve e-originated sales penetration targets across the account responsibility.
  • Build customer relationships with site merchandising and digital marketing in tandem with the Business Unit sales leads to be seen as best in class omni-partners.
  • Increase eCommerce competencies across BU sales teams through continuous education, building frameworks and developing playbooks.
  • Inform consumption, share and sales growth targets for Newell Brands within Retail.com for Target.
  • Use data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits.
  • Lead the Business Units on the eCommerce needs of the Customers.
  • Develop an annual promotional plan with the cross-functional team and own digital execution with the customer.
  • Collaborates with sales planning and marketing teams to provide and explain digital market data to the customer.
  • Networks and builds strong relationships with key customer decision makers and key internal stakeholders.
  • Leverages our brands and product mix to improve profitability and meet customer, shopper, and Newell Brands targets.
  • Participates in the monthly Customer Business Review with Segment and Enterprise Leadership, highlighting risks and opportunities to annual operating plan and customer JBP.
  • Monitors the competitors' brands and products as well as our market share, competitor market share, and target market share to understand shopper trends and opportunities in the digital channel. Communicates to appropriate sales, trade and brand management.

Key Qualifications:
  • BS/BA or University degree in Business or similar field, MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 3+ years of direct and hands-on experience in sales and/or channel marketing.
  • Experience in paid media and planning preferred; Roundel experience a plus.
  • Experience with digital merchandising and eCommerce preferred.
  • Experience working in a consumer-packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and/or consumer durables industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with Target and Target.com a plus.
  • High level knowledge and understanding working with Retailer POS system & metrics.
  • Selling experience within consumer products, preferably across multiple brands.
  • History of setting and delivering a growth agenda.
  • Willingness to travel 10-30%.
  • Experience managing and / or influencing others.
  • Ability to build relationships and navigate a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to operate independently given direction and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised.
  • Interpersonal savvy: an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Ability to analyze syndicated data.
  • Ability to influence internal partners to produce desired tangible outcomes in tight timeframes.
  • Ability to run, comprehend and communicate report findings.
  • Strong project planning, tracking & organizing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner.
