- Develop, maintain, and enhance guidelines for diversity, equity, and inclusion across product lines, updating them as our policies and understandings evolve. Provide substantial, upfront input and guidance on goals, priorities, market drivers, etc.
- Manage and mentor team of individual contributors matrixed across product development teams, including leading team in completing assignments, team goal creation and knowledge sharing, and tracking/reporting of key milestones.
- Define and refine opportunities to ensure creation of inclusive, engaging, and culturally authentic content.
- Manage process for quarterly content reviews to evaluate potential content by product line and clarify and fine-tune our guidelines for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Support content development and educator professional development teams in understanding guidelines through facilitated conversations, documentation, and other training opportunities.
- Develop and manage a diversity, equity, and inclusion advisory panel.
- In collaboration with the UDL Content Manager, support application of Universal Design for Learning, Inclusive Design principles, and other frameworks to support intersectionality of learner and teacher diversity.
- Support company-wide inclusivity initiatives, including Employee Resource Groups, as appropriate.
- 3 or more years of experience working with education leaders, advocacy groups, and/or publishing teams toward diversity, equity, and inclusion goals
- 3–5 years of experience in curriculum development and/or educational publishing
- 3–5 years of people management experience
- Proven skill in developing and leading professional learning programs for educators or editorial teams
- Proven project management skills with a high comfort level with workflows and processes
- Expertise in culturally and linguistically responsive teaching and learning and/or extensive experience in content development
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a personal commitment to daily interactions that exemplify Curriculum Associates’ equity and inclusion goals
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A hands-on approach and a commitment to working collaboratively with teams and a wide range of people to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of instructional quality and editorial excellence.
- Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheet, file management, and other workplace software
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience creating clear and detailed documentation that explains key processes and approaches
- Classroom teaching experience ideal, and experience with Universal Design for Learning a plus
Pay Range – This role’s range is $69,250 - $118,250. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
