Manager Disease Management Ancillary
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (3-4 days/week onsite in office). When reporting to the office, the location will be on MMM Kennedy Building located on PR-SAN JUAN, 411 CALLE SEGARRA MARGINAL AVE.
Schedule: This position will work a 1st Shift from 8:00 am- 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Additional hours or days may be required based on operational needs.
The Manager Disease Management Ancillary is responsible for managing pharmacists and nutritionists who conduct clinical evaluations and interventions for members enrolled in Disease Management programs.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Establishes and maintains ancillary policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure appropriate RX and RD therapy.
- Enhances working relationships with physicians as intervention is warranted.
- Identifies workflow and system related issues and makes recommendations for improvement including drafting system requirements and program logic for both pharmacy and dietetic enhancements.
- Leads projects and special initiatives.
- Manages use of ancillary staff as resources to other departments.
- Develops and conducts client presentations.
- Serves as clinical resource for program development and for RX related issues arising in other areas of the company.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires an active license in a related clinical field and minimum of 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- PharmD preferred.
- Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- Doctor in Pharmacy Preferred with Active Pharmacist License from Puerto Rico.
- MTM Certification or experience in a managed care setting Preferred.
