About this role
The right candidate will be involved in planning and identifying business requirements, workflows and supporting/training end-users in the proper use of JDE applications. This position is responsible for supporting the existing JDE business functions, gathering information and helping determine output enhancements for various applications within JDE. Will work collaboratively within the IT department and business units to define and interpret requirements into function for development to execute.
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to JDE support calls
  • Responsible for the timely completion of project tasks and providing feedback to accounting managers, controllers, department managers at all levels, auditors, and end users
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and assist in developing solutions
  • Conduct training for the user community on JDE systems and applications. Participates in configuring the application based on the defined business processes
  • Ensure established audit procedures are followed with respect to user, company, and accounting setups
  • Provide technical support for daily business operations focusing on best practices, system administration and audit-requirements
  • Assure conformance to system architecture, methods, standards & practices, and promote their creation and coordination with other teams
  • Coordinate financial system change requests, and/or JD Edwards patches/bug fixes identified by the users
  • Conduct testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines
  • Designated as a critical member of the JDE User Group
  • Drive to continue to learn and grow in the use and application of JDE
  • Ensure proper JDE testing of any systemwide changes prior to implementation
  • Clearly outline, document, and communicate problems, enhancements and business scenarios that will be used in advancing new and current custom software applications
  • Identify appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate JDE changes; parameters may include general function, validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and compliance within industry standards
  • Execute test cases and scripts to thoroughly test company software products on multiple projects of varying size and application systems to ensure all objectives are met
  • Maintain JDE documentation and ensure it is current
  • Log and document bugs, enhancement, and product issues
  • Draft quality assurance policies, procedures, and knowledge articles
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • Working knowledge of JDE
  • Experience with SQL Queries and databases a plus
  • Experience supporting software applications
  • High level of initiative and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize daily workload and work in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently, identify priorities and work successfully with minimal supervision
  • Strong data analytic skills including the ability to develop SQL queries as needed to support data collection and reporting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet objectives by influencing and engaging others across multiple teams
  • Ability to think and act as an end-user
  • Must be able to interpret and implement quality assurance standards and provide accurate and comprehensive feedback to colleagues
  • Strong computer skills and experience with custom applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support
