Who We’re Looking For

Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is looking for a highly motivated person to fill our Manager – Cyber Architecture role.

The Cyber Architecture Manager, acting as the Principal Security Architect, will operate in a leadership capacity to oversee a team of Cyber Architects. In this role you will be at the forefront of securing not only Cyber Security systems architectural designs but to include non-Cyber security infrastructure, applications, data, and business domains for TFS globally. Translating business requirements into specific security systems, applications, or process designs for large, complex business solutions will be a main focus. This position requires a leader who can identify current and future risks, works extremely well with others, and performs in challenging situations through creative and highly effective security design for both security technologies and business applications. Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, scrum teams, and infrastructure leadership to understand business needs and reduce overall risk to threats as a key part of Product Security; this role will interact and collaborate with business, development, and security stakeholders to solve complex issues, meet requirements, improve the quality, speed to market, and overall delivery of secure applications.

This leader will be a self-directing, highly organized, and an effective communicator (verbal and written) who can transfer business and stakeholder requirements into a usable and efficient solution. The individual is expected to set the example of a security architect for their team with strong foundational leadership skills.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead a global program that efficiently and effectively identify gaps and quantify risks (current and emerging), including the security and operational costs and the impact to the enterprise business processes
  • Lead a team of Cyber Architects and operate as a leader within the larger Cyber Architecture division
  • Support IT scrum leadership in the prioritization of product feature(s) backlog and development for the product(s), backlog management, and iteration planning to address risk realized from designs
  • Work closely with the scrum team and business leadership to ensure security requirements are met within the design of technologies
  • Ensure the development of viable and supportable solutions according to those risks, creating security requirements and strategies for identity and access, infrastructure and network, logging and monitoring, application and software development, data, and endpoints
  • Lead the program that assesses the capabilities of technologies and how they play a role in the security posture to recommend short-term and long-term roadmaps to mature and maintain TFS’s overall security effectiveness
  • The overall design of Cyber Security technologies for TFS globally to appropriately address the current and potential threat landscape
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture and the business in capturing requirements to develop a viable technical architecture that securely enables the expected business functionality
  • Lead all Product Security efforts across TFS for both security technologies and business applications
  • Create, integrate, and validate the technical designs as secure patterns in support of identity and access, infrastructure and network, logging and monitoring, application and software development, data, and endpoints, supporting business intelligence, functions, and processes
  • Adapt and transform established frameworks to aid in the maturing and optimization of security controls and services, or recommend alternatives to increase the security posture while optimizing ROI

What You Bring:

  • Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS] in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required
  • Broad-based Security Architecture experience
  • Leadership experience in a Cyber Security organization
  • Extensive experience managing Threat Modeling programs, and Experience running Threat Models and threat modeling programs
  • Deep working knowledge and leadership managing security architectural frameworks and concepts
  • Experience and understanding of continuous integration / continuous development and working within automated CI/CI and DevSecOps models
  • Deep working knowledge of conducting technology and design assessments

Added bonus if you have:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
  • MS Cyber Security Architect Expert (CSAE), Certified Defense Architect (CDNA), Defensible Security Architect (GDSA), Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP)
  • Experience skills and knowledge in software development, programming, and programming constructs with high proficiency in at least one language
  • Experience with Agile collaboration and task management tools (Jira)
  • Knowledge of Financial Services and/or Insurance industry
