Responsibilities:
Medical Staff Manager in connection with the Tower CVO co-manages the medical staff electronic database to ensure that it is updated in real time, current and accurate. Provides administrative support services as needed and serves as a resources for the Medical Staff and Medical Staff Officers. Monitors the compliance and revisions of the Medical Staff Bylaws and all departmental policies and procedures. Serves as a resource for practice managers (THMG or independent) and assists in communication between practice managers and the hospital. Supervises ancillary medical staff office personnel.

Responsible for the direction and oversight of the local Medical Staff Office. Responsibilities include medical staff credentialing for physicians, advance practice professionals and other categories as outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws. Manages all aspects of credentialing and re-credentialing applications for all clinicians (MD, DO, Advance Practice Professionals) to meet standards and requirements of Hospital, Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Federal and State regulations and all other regulatory or accreditation bodies. Medical Staff Manager works with Tower CVO/ Tower Medical Staff Specialist to manage intake process for all applicants during initial application and reappointment process.
