In this vital role you will operate within a dynamic business critical environment and would be primarily responsible for document creation and contract management of key provider customer contracts from request to completion, leading contract data for owned accounts in our contract lifecycle management (CLM) database, data entry accuracy and ensuring the system reflects key terms in the completed final contract, and collaborating with cross-functional team members to ensure key controls in the contracting process are met.

The Contract Development & Administration (CD&A) team, a part of USV&A, supports Amgen by supporting the Coverage and Pricing teams in developing and implementing customer contract strategy in order to assist Amgen in its mission to serve patients by enabling access to Amgen products. We are looking for a business professional who is outstanding in translating various discount strategies and structures, and details from language in legal documents.

  • Drafting and editing commercial, pricing agreements, amendments, notice letters, and other tangential documents

  • Drafting contract language that accurately describes new pricing programs, such as rebates and discount structures

  • Collaborate with other functional areas of the department on the operation and implementation of business unit strategies and participating in and supporting meetings to plan, provide insights, and anticipate the needs of the business unit

  • Participation in the document management process, ongoing interaction with several cross- functional groups, including Legal, Coverage & Pricing, Government Programs, Contract Pricing Execution, and Contract Business Operations

  • Project managing planned and ad-hoc special projects upon request

  • Researching and producing contract documents in support of internal and external audits and litigation

  • Position also involves handling contract data in our CLM system, reporting activities andmetricstoleadership,handlingcustomerdocumentfiles,foldersandtemplates,conductingdocument review meetings, presenting customer and contract document status and historytopartnersandcertifyingthatkeyprocesscontrolshavebeenmet

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate Degree

Or

Master’s degree and 2 commercial contracting, sales operations, finance and/or analytics experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 commercial contracting, sales operations, finance and/or analytics experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 commercial contracting, sales operations, finance and/or analytics experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of commercial contracting, sales operations, finance and/or analytics experience
