Job Title:Content Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing FLSA Status: Exempt Job Status: Full Time

Reports To: Sr. Director, Marketing Communications

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday with flexible working hours between 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m

Position Summary

The Content Marketing Manager collaboratively designs and implements a Content Marketing and social media strategy with a primary focus on participant education, followed by thought leadership and SEO strategy, in order to attract target audiences to our owned assets (e.g., website, articles, blogs, videos etc.) and increase engagement with the employee/participant audience pool.

Essential Functions

  • Collaboratively designs and implements a Content Marketing and social media strategy with a focus on thought leadership around participant education on financial wellness, and SEO strategy, in order to attract target audiences to our owned assets (e.g., website, articles, blogs, videos etc.)
  • Plans, writes, edits and produces high-quality, engaging short-and long-form content, including but not limited to white papers, case studies, infographics, explainer videos, webinars, social posts and blog articles that fully leverages each effort (repurposing) and advances business objectives.
  • Designs and implements a systematic Content Marketing engagement process that appropriately leverages all paid, owned and earned media, ensuring maximum reach and exposure for each effort.
  • Creates, manages and executes a Content Marketing and social media calendar that includes themes/topics, social distribution, promotion, etc., working collaboratively with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs), vendors/partners.
  • Builds and maintains deep, positive relationships with key SMEs throughout the company to encourage the ongoing flow of content ideas to ensure the strategy stays aligned with business goals.
  • Develops KPIs, reports and iterates on performance with a strong emphasis on testing and learning, driving increased traffic and engagement through the funnel.
  • Identifies and applies new emerging content types and channels to continuously evolve the Content Marketing strategy.

Skills & Abilities

  • Solid understanding of SEO and inbound marketing principals, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement
  • Storyteller, editor, and strategist who feels equally comfortable editing AND developing new content ideas and determining distribution strategies
  • Flawless-to-a-fault writing skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments and can roll up his/her sleeves to build, deploy, and launch content initiatives quickly while also ensuring quality and staying on-brand
  • Takes initiative and is self-directed, but is also a pro at collaborating with other team members
  • Data-driven creative leader with a strong narrative backbone and a knack for creating dynamic content a diverse audience at varying stages of the retirement savings journey.
  • Able to write and help produce print collateral, presentations, RFPs and other forms on content the Marketing team may be asked to assist with.

Experience

  • 5+ years producing and writing high-caliber, successful content, with demonstrated examples
  • 3+ years developing content strategies

Education

  • Marketing, English, Public Relations, Journalism or equivalent degree required
  • Master’s degree desired but not required
  • Ability to speak and write in both English and Spanish is desired but not required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates & Licenses

  • Certification(s) or equivalent experience in Adobe Creative Suite tools, Canva, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, WordPress
  • SalesForce Marketing Cloud experience is a plus

  • Extended sitting and computer work

What’s in it for you Package
This role will have a base pay range of $58,750-$86,000 annual salary. Please know, this is the base range only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for this role. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
