Responsibilities
- Coordinates and evaluates the daily operations of the department (staffing; acuity; budget; supplies, clinical outcomes). Monitors and oversees charge and charge reconciliation. Participates in the recruitment and retention of department employees (open FTEs; turn over rates).
- Supports hospital operation effectiveness and effectively communicates with staff. Promotes and facilitates patient education and staff development in department.
- Performs annual and ongoing performances appraisals of department employees based on job descriptions, generic and unit structure standards, protocols, procedures and unit based performance standards.
- Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit. Evaluates, implements, and troubleshoots the technology in the specialty.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Current R.N. or RT or CVIS Certificate/License required; ACLS and BLS required.
