The Manager of Recovery and Resolution Planning will be responsible for the end to end development and delivery of the Recovery Plan. They will also drive the development and enhancements for a sustainable, automated, and well-controlled process to deliver the plan as well as execution during resolution or recovery states. The manager will also be responsible for developing junior members of the team and further the vision of the department.
Recovery and Resolution Planning is a critical financial institution regulation that requires banks to develop strategies, actions, and execution plans to recover from extreme financial stress, and in the event of a failure, to resolve the bank with minimal losses to depositors. The recovery and resolution plans include considerations from across all parts of the organization and risk stripes, including liquidity, capital, operational, and regulatory.
Responsibilities:
Oversee activities and direct team to ensure annual production of the recovery plan
Drive the design and oversee the development of assumptions and stress testing scenarios, as required for any financial analysis for capital and liquidity adequacy
Manage the recovery readiness framework for the Company and related processes effectively, including planning, flawless execution, and robust governance and controls
Building and managing relationships with internal stakeholders
Manage execution of automation initiatives for modeling and stress testing
Understanding regulatory feedback and be able to translate the same into deliverables or enhancements for the organization
Own development and submission of documentation to regulatory relations and provide tactical support for regulatory examinations
Drive consensus and buy-in from leadership on key decisions for recovery
Own written communications to the management committees and the Board of Directors
Drive automation and enhancements for current recovery analytics
Provide thought leadership for integration with resolution planning, capital, and liquidity functions including setting up foundational modeling capabilities that can be scaled for multiple resolution strategies.
Enhance recovery plan content and structure, as needed, to meet OCC guidance and recommendations
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience in Finance Services
At least 5 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Operations, Reporting, Risk Management or a combination
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 6 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Operations, Reporting, Risk Management or a combination
Master in Finance or Business Administration, or related field
At least 1 year of experience in People Management
