Position Summary:
At FCB Chicago, the SVP, Management Director plays a vital role in leading and growing client business. This person will have a comprehensive view of industry trends and will be able to anticipate future needs and opportunities. This skilled relationship builder will motivate and inspire the appropriate team members, identify resources and provide knowledge to help deliver the kind of creative marketing communications and strategic thinking that smashes established category assumptions. As a key collaborator, this person knows how to unite and motivate various departments toward a common goal. This person will never cease to find new ideas and opportunities to strengthen and expand the client's business.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility and accountability for management of all account(s)
Maintain and grow one or more key client relationships
Align with senior leaders to enforce the account(s) vision and direction
Understand Integrated Marketing Communications and how to quarterback efforts and collaborate
Think collaboratively and leverage various disciplines in the agency to present client business-building opportunities and agency-building initiatives
Immerse in the world of the client's industry and agency marketing discipline(s) with a wide range of experience from agency to client-side to consulting
Manage, guide and direct all revenue generating activities within the account with minimal oversight
Develop deep understanding of the client business, competitors, challenges and opportunities
Identify opportunities and partners for organic and new business growth
Partner with senior-level clients to strengthen business relationships
Build strong relationship with and deep collaboration with discipline leads to integrate efforts and drive results
Analyze P&L statements and takes necessary action to ensure profitability
Manage career development and talent elevation within the wider account team and participates in new hire process, finding ways to attract top talent
Manage needs of team members to maximize learning and productivity while minimizing turnover
Motivate and inspire direct deports across various disciplines
Support FCB's culture through acting as a champion of the agency's vision and goals
Requirements:
- 12 years of experience in marketing or advertising
- Manages business(es) with minimal oversight from more senior account lead(s)
- Focus on core business to identify potential growth areas of accounts and help shape and grow client relationships
- Entrepreneur who strives to drive company growth and innovation
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm and motivate relationship building
Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience required
