Mammography Technologist

This job position involves performing imaging procedures in an efficient and safe manner for customers of all ages, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. As part of this role, it is important to perform procedures accurately, apply critical thinking skills appropriately, and recognize emergent situations and respond accordingly. Maintaining accurate customer medical records and ensuring the confidentiality of all medical records is also a critical part of this job. Additionally, utilizing Imaging and hospital computer systems correctly, interacting with physicians, co-workers, customers, and families in a professional manner, and having access to medications appropriate to the job duties are all important responsibilities. As part of the role, it is also expected to accept other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals. The team member is accountable for demonstrating proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list and maintaining skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills required for the appropriate position.
Qualifications
To be considered for a radiologic technologist role in Minnesota, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must have graduated from an accredited program in radiologic technology and have previous mammography experience. Additionally, having one year of modality-specific experience in CT, MR, Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology is strongly preferred. You should also have current certifications in ACLS and BLS. Finally, you should hold a valid state license in Minnesota.
